    Coquitlam’s Town Centre has grown up fast around the Evergreen Line, which runs from Lougheed through Burquitlam, Moody Centre, Inlet Centre, Coquitlam Central, and Lincoln stations. Coquitlam Centre mall, the Evergreen Cultural Centre, and Lafarge Lake anchor a core that’s added dozens of residential towers since the SkyTrain extension opened, drawing young professionals and downsizers priced out of Burnaby and Vancouver. Just north, Burke Mountain offers a newer, family-oriented alternative, while Coquitlam’s 80-plus parks — including Mundy Park at the city’s centre — keep green space close no matter where you land.

    The Lifestyle

    Mornings might start with a walk around Lafarge Lake or a coffee near Coquitlam Central before the Evergreen Line into Burnaby or Vancouver. Lunch is a stop at Coquitlam Centre or one of Town Centre’s growing restaurant strips. Evenings bring a show at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, a walk through Mundy Park, or dinner somewhere new — Town Centre adds restaurants nearly as fast as it adds towers. Weekends head up toward Burke Mountain’s trails, over to Rocky Point in Port Moody, or straight down the SkyTrain line whenever the city calls.
